The Jewish Studies program is comprised of faculty and students whose different interests contribute to the field of Jewish Studies. At the center of the program is the Faculty Advisory Committee (FAC) which is made up of three Jewish Studies scholars from different departments at UC San Diego who advise the Program Director. In addition, there are Hebrew language faculty and many other affiliated faculty members from various UCSD departments who teach classes and mentor students in relation to the field of Jewish Studies. This interdisciplinary structure allows students to follow their interests within Jewish Studies and learn from a variety of scholars in many fields. The Jewish Studies program offers an undergraduate major and two minors to students and also provides graduate students from different home departments at UCSD the opportunity to work with highly-esteemed Jewish Studies professors from different disciplines.
