Visiting Faculty Resources
Below are a number of links, timelines, and instructions for navigating UC San Diego as a visiting faculty member.
Once the Judaic Studies Program has stated their desire to hire you, our program must submit a request to the Dean's office so that they may generate the official offer letter. In odrer to submit that request we will need the following information from you:
Student Evaluations or Letters of Reference/Recommendation (RE: your teaching abilities)
Official Offer Letter
You will receive an official offer letter from the Dean Office via email. You will need to formally accept the offer before we can begin your hiring paperwork.
The earliest UCSD will allow new appointments to be entered into our payroll system is one month prior to the appointment start date. However, all the paperwork, with the exception of the Oath/Patent, may be completed ahead of time so that staff has all the information necessary to enter the appointment on the earliest date possible. Below are the forms you will need to complete. Please fill them out but do not date any of them until you come into our office or are otherwise instructed by staff.

Appointment start dates are the first day of the first quarter you are hired to teach.
